A long-standing demand for better government bus connectivity from 𝗗𝗮𝗹 𝗞𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮 is moving forward. An August letter from Minister of State Biraj Biswas sought proposals for 𝗗𝗮𝗹 𝗞𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮–𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗷 and 𝗗𝗮𝗹 𝗞𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮–𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗶 services via Islampur, along with a new NBSTC terminus at Dalkhola.

NBSTC’s 25 September letter now says the 𝗗𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮–𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗷 service is under survey, while instructions have been issued to ensure NBSTC buses enter Dalkhola and pass through the town. 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗯𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱, with the DPR already sent to the Transport Department for approval. The minister's latest announcement says two government buses are expected to operate from October.

𝗡𝗛𝗔𝗜 has invited bids to prepare DPRs for three new highway projects: a 65-km 2/4-lane spur connecting Barsoi, Raiganj and Malda with the Moregram–Kishanganj High-Speed Corridor; a 25-km 4-lane greenfield Kishanganj Bypass; and a 5-km Purnea More Bypass connecting NH-12 (Dalkhola Bypass) with NH-27 towards Siliguri.

Together, the three projects cover 95 km of proposed highway connectivity across West Bengal and Bihar

ডালখোলাবাসীর জন্য অত্যন্ত আনন্দের ও খুশির খবর!

ডালখোলাবাসীর দীর্ঘদিনের দাবি ও বহু প্রতীক্ষিত ডালখোলা থেকে রায়গঞ্জ এবং ডালখোলা থেকে শিলিগুড়ি সরকারি বাস পরিষেবা চালু হতে চলেছে আগামী অক্টোবর মাস থেকে।

এই পরিষেবার আওতায় দুটি সরকারি বাস চলাচল করবে।

একটি বাস: ডালখোলা থেকে দোমোহনা, করণদীঘি ও টুঙ্গিদীঘি হয়ে রায়গঞ্জ।

আর একটি বাস: ডালখোলা থেকে পূর্ণিয়ামোর, কানকি, কিশানগঞ্জ ও ইসলামপুর হয়ে শিলিগুড়ি।

এই বাস পরিষেবা চালু হলে ডালখোলা ও পার্শ্ববর্তী এলাকার মানুষের যাতায়াত আরও সহজ হবে। বিশেষত ছাত্রছাত্রী, চাকরিজীবী, ব্যবসায়ী এবং সাধারণ যাত্রীদের দীর্ঘদিনের সমস্যার সমাধানে এটি একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পদক্ষেপ হতে চলেছে।
