Fifty years after #RalphGibson published first edition of “TULSA” by @larryclarkfilms (1971) and 100 years after the 1921 @TulsaMassacre I went back to this small Oklahoma city. The result: “TULSA, OK” my first book. Watch 66” video & get your copy today https://t.co/v0uUePO4Bv

@asim_fayaz@le_minimaliste@noorimages It’s unlikely @le_minimaliste will ever translate his blog —he is far too busy doing great writing! But you can always use the Translate option in your browser to get a good sense of what he wrote. Also, note that my book “TULSA, OK” is in English.
In part 3/3 @le_minimaliste explains the creative process behind the editing and final production of TULSA, OK —my visual anthropology work in Tulsa, Oklahoma —with references to BLACK PASSPORT by the great Stanley Greene @noorimages (en français)

Late one night in a Kampala (Uganda) bar, I ran into @Sumy_sadurni a very talented photojournalist freelancing for @guardian@AFPphoto@womenphotograph covering social and political issues in East Africa. She just died in a car accident at age 32 and that’s really really sad.
Great article by @le_minimaliste about my visual anthropology work in mental hospitals in India, in a Bangkok bordello, in small US towns named Paris, and in a @MagnumPhotos workshop… which ultimately led to my “TULSA, OK” book

Merci @ParefGroup@antoinecastro73 ! Without you, ce projet n’aurait pu aboutir. J’espère que les Parisien/ne.s iront vite rue de Rivoli voir à quoi ressemblent les Paris de l’Idaho, du Tennessee, du Kentucky, … And of course Paris, Texas!
