I’m no expert but I mean, leading the league in TD’s, PYDS and PYDS per game is not a bad way to make a case for being the best “pure” QB in the NFL…

But hell, everybody loves stats so here’s some:

Brady 2007:

Joe Burrow kept pace with Brady and Rodger’s in some of their best seasons, whilst standing behind one of the worst OL in the league, and with one of the worst defense. People will say “yeah of course cuz he was always playing from behind”, and yeah that’s true but it’s also a weak af excuse to make. You don’t throw for 70% completion rate with 656 attempts without being a damn good QB, and to do that while taking 137 hits shows an insane level of mental toughness that’s not very common amongst QB’s in this age of football.

Anyone who watched Burrow at all knows the monster hits he took this season with some absurd no-calls for roughing the passer, and that dude still stayed in the pocket and threw for almost 5,000 PYDS, while playing behind one of the WORST OL in the league. You put any other QB in there and they are not putting up the numbers Burrow did.

Perhaps the simplest explanation really is the truth: Joe Burrow is a DOG and truly is the best “pure”, “pocket passer”, whatever you want to call it, QB in this league.

And if you disagree you better have a way to prove it because the evidence is HEAVILY in his favor.

Mammoth fans have a very strange obsession with pretending like Connor Hellebuyck isn't one of the best goalies on the face of the planet.

I can sort of understand if you believe in Veggie or don't want to trade assets... but Hellebuyck makes Utah an instant cup contender.

@JamesUteHC @HockeyWizData Yeah same. I think it takes us into serious contender status. Veggie’s a good goalie, but Helle’s elite with a proven track record only slightly marred by postseason woes. This Utah team is far better than 24-25 Jets imo. We’re solid on OFF and DEF, we need to shore up the crease

@imDazzer Multiple sources around the league have cited GMBA basically saying not a chance to everyone. NYR wanted Iginla, I think STL was asking for Desy and Simashev for Thomas. He’s cited multiple times he’s very averse to trading the future for now.

@superfinn23 These stat cards always have me wondering. Like the other day Gunner was the best player and he had 6 PIM’s. I’ve seen Sima at the bottom for 3-4 games now, but watching the games hasn’t had me feeling that way at all, aside from 1 or 2 defensive misses, but that’s just rookies?
