Math teachers, I'm working on a story for @edutopia, and I'm curious:
What apps or digital tools have become your go-to resources to enhance instruction over the last few years?
Differentiation is important, but time-consuming.
Edutopia’s @dalorleon showcases a new tool, @DiffitApp, that can help make the process a lot easier. 👇
I tried out @AIatMeta#AnimatedDrawings with my students, and it was a hit! The kids made 'cute monsters' out of Play-Doh, and then we turned their creations into animated GIFs.
Watching them laugh and light up with each animation totally made my day! 🥰 Thank you @dalorleon!
I posted a bunch more variations here. (No text = better desktop wallpaper.)

As a bonus, here's the graph I created to accurately represent Outer Wilds' solar system. (Small spoilers ahead.)

I finished #OuterWilds last week. Phenomenal game on many levels.
But, @Mobius_Games, I couldn't help but notice that the (lovely) planetary poster on the ship wasn't actually to scale... So I went ahead and made a version with accurate planet sizes and orbit distances. 🤓
We’ve heard from many teachers who’ve found creative applications for today’s newest AI tools. 🤖
Edutopia’s @dalorleon offers a quick demo of one that has become particularly popular: Canva’s AI image generator.
Teachers & librarians, I'm working on an @edutopia story about sci-fi books that help MS/HS students better understand the modern world—books that explore technologies like AI or weigh in on social & political trends.
Do you have any sci-fi books you'd recommend I include?
@stnylan@RMFifthCircuit@TherealmsZ These are fascinating! Thank you, Lewis!
Sounds like some of these might be too adult for students (except maybe late high schoolers), but I may have to check them out myself!
@MmeFConnelly@edutopia This is a great recommendation! Thank you so much!
If you have the time, I'd love to hear a bit more about the kinds of discussions it sparked in the classroom -- e.g. what came up in those.
