@ShannonLeigh818@ItsJustKelsss1 I can't remember the last AirBNB I stayed in that was someone's house. They've all been house purchased and renovated for short-term rentals by either people who want passive/retirement income or larger management companies with large portfolios. This is a BUSINESS.
@StevieLaw7@JJLandry82@DaveBroadie Correct. Although its probably both. But xennials were in their teens when this dropped. My friends and I listened to it nonstop.
@Parabellum2021@DaveBroadie Xennial. I was born in 1982, and I consider this song one of the anthems of my youth. Millenials weren't old enough for this to hit during their teenage years.
@JonEriksson_@aaronxperez@Technovangelist@Airbnb 100% this. Funny the "houseguest" argument is being used. Hospitality for $0! Its almost as if there's a difference between a business built for passive income and hanging out with your friends....
@Technovangelist@Airbnb To earn your "passive" income in the hospitality business, you have to be hospitable. And you know what? Most of the times when people invite me as a guest to their house, when I try to do dishes, they say "don't worry about it. You are our guest." And I'm not even paying!
@MikhailaFuller Nah. But developers certainly need to lean in. I believe that devs who set systems up for all team members to contribute code and actively encourage them to do so will fare better. The old ways are over.
@Earnest_Voice@OakPaul@nicolegelinas I live right next to the GWB bike entrance and have regular near misses with cyclists coming off the bridge. I dont hate anybody. I simply think everyone should take more care. That includes drivers, pedestrians and cyclists. Its about people, not the modes of transport.
@Earnest_Voice@OakPaul@nicolegelinas The ongoing argument in the past week has been around cyclists running red lights and disobeying other traffic laws. It's a huge problem in NYC. My point is that if the cyclist HAD been running a red light, they would likely be at fault. So they need to stop.
@martynschmoll So are you saying its ok for cyclists to ride the wrong way down our one-way street? I don't know where you live, but this is unacceptable in NY. Why do you keep talking about cars? I'm talking about cyclists. Cyclists on my block do dangerous things. And they should stop.
@martynschmoll Why deflect? I'm the first to complain about NYC drivers. It doesn't let cyclists off the hook. When entitled humans drive or bike, they often break laws and cause issues. If you bike the wrong way down my one-way street, you are in the wrong. There is no excuse.
