As we start to take the covid vaccine, a reminder that the concept of inoculation which led to the first vaccine was taught by Onesimus, an enslaved man. Bc of the horrible conditions on slave ships, they learned how to prevent smallpox on their own. #superpowers#negrosoulstice
I’ve been thinking about something for a minute.
It’s something I see in my patients; it’s something I see in myself.
Many of our traumas have flooded us like tsunamis & have left deep scars.
What’s the word for when you’ve been saying the same thing for 400+ years but people act like it’s new info every time? It’s exhausting watching white Americans constantly act surprised everytime they re-learn that this country and leaders support #WhiteSupremacy. #Debates2020
It is very important that we do not only see our bodies as places that can be harmed but also as bodies capable of experiencing deep love, pleasure and liberation.
It’s been challenging to write about and practice pleasure these past couple of months, but I’m excited to share this piece I wrote for @WomanlyMag about my journey to Orgasmic Living.

Our moral binary prevents us from seeing ourselves and others as complex beings, capable of doing transformative and traumatic things. I believe this stems from Christianity where Jesus was seen as the perfect being. Prior, all deities, even God had loving and harmful moments.
We saw this during Mike Brown’s case where people couldn’t see Darren Wilson as a racist murderer because he was a good husband and father. When we couldn’t understand that Bill Cosby can be a great comedian and a serial rapist.
