This week our S4 and Higher Human Biology classes participated in a heart dissection. Pupils were able to identify the blood vessels, valves and heart chambers. Well done!

Our S1 pupils have been designing what will be our logo for the Science twitter feed. Like, follow and share your favorites. The picture with the highest likes and retweets will be declared the winner.

S3 Biology pupils recently carried out an experiment to measure the rate of respiration in mealworms. Mealworms are the larval form of the mealworm beetle. Although all pupils seemed to enjoy the investigation, some were more eager to deal with the larva than others!

Higher Hum Bio pupils recently participated in a PCR workshop which involved analysing DNA samples to identify suspects present at crime scenes and the presence of genes linked to genetic disorders. The pupils did fantastically and a special thank you to Lucienne from Timstar.
