You can learn any language whenever tf you want. Just donβt start feeling oppressed when people question you for not learning how to speak Filipino as a Filipino citizen lol
@damdabby we all have to compromise at some point so if learning Tagalog/Filipino is something you all want to consider as mandatory than allow nontagalog speakers to fuck up and learn even if its late and they're well past their age. kaya walang natututo kasi nga di rin naman tinatanggap
tbh mostly bisayang elitist lang naman ang mga may superiority complex sa language nila, i donβt see other non-tagalog people having problems in learning Filipino, i mean itβs literally our national language jusko
@damdabby the whole making a language mandatory is literally what caused the debacle in the first place, even if we don't see it as that, a lot of people feel superiority over treir the language and it causes a rift already as it is.
Exactly. There are thousands of languages in the Philippines, kaya para magkaintindihan tayong lahat, we need to have a unified language, which is Filipino. So learning Filipino is definitely mandatory
@kolsenertito In this case, as language is beyond a law, it cannot entirely be forced into mandatory assimilation. Take into consideration nga ang Pinas has a thousand and more languages, especially native languages, native speakers will be much more inclined to learn their mother tongue +
But what of Filipino parents who had to leave their kids in a Bisaya-speaking place, where almost no one has a good grasp of Tagalog, all because they had to work abroad to earn?
Are they "horrible"?
everyoneβs trying to become idols because dramas keep flopping, and unfortunately this is the βconcertβ we will be left with. ding yuxi performing like a greasy 50 year old trot singer at a retirement party...zero charisma, zero energy, just putting the entire audience to sleep
