Yesterday I attended an outstanding grant writing workshop at #DDW2026, super practical. Key takeaways:
🔬 Start early on! 🧭 Tell a clear story: past → present → future → independence 🤝 Strong mentorship team (clear roles!) is critical 📚 Training plan = specific skills

🎯 Aims page matters most (~3 aims sweet spot)✍️ Keep it simple: less jargon, easy to read

Great time at #ALDALLY once again this year! One idea that really stuck with me: who defines success? We need to become more comfortable introducing and truly accepting patient-determined outcomes, rather than relying solely on metrics and statistics to deliver the best care.

1. No study is perfect. That’s ok
2. “Confounding” & “underpowered” are not sufficient as criticisms. They are followed by “because …” with explanation
3. ‘Retrospective’ isnt a crime and ‘prospective’ doesn’t get u out of jail free
