I applied for online visa to Cameroon & Guinea and Kenya the same day.
Cameroon took three days
Guinea took 1 hour
Kenya took three weeks and was approved two days after the day I was supposed to travel.
I was so so impressed with Guinea
I can almost stomach all the begging at the airport when you are departing, but that “long walk to freedom” aka the parking garage upon arrival, I can’t. You can encounter no less than 20 different people asking if you need a cab, or fx, or whatever. It is borderline harassment

Traveling from Lagos international airport is so so stressful. My God!
Everything is designed to stress you. But what takes the cake are the humans. The sheer number of steps you have to interact with people is mind mumbing. And almost all these people are begging!
Flight lands MMIA at 10:55am, 35 mins earlier than scheduled. Spend the next 40 mins or so, still onboard because they can’t get the bridge to work. 12:02pm and I still find myself on the immigration line. Man, the intl arrivals experience in Lagos just keeps getting worse!
A sparkling new airport terminal for an airport that desperately needed one, however it can’t be used due to bad design. This is the cost of incompetence and a lack of care.
Just watched some dispatch riders interact with each other in Lagos traffic, and now I’m imagining how thrilling riding their bikes can sometimes be for them.
Hello @AskAmex I am being treated quite shabbily by the customer care representatives after a foreign currency charge that was supposed to be converted into USD was posted to my account without being converted.
@AskAmex an amount that was not authorized was charged to my card. I was told this charge would be put on hold pending the dispute resolution process, however nine days later this hasn’t happened and I am being given conflicting information by the customer care staff I speak to.
@AskAmex (ii) there is no dedicated person or function that is providing me with any updates, (iii) I was told since August 1st that this charge would be put on hold pending the dispute resolution how’ve this hasn’t been done and I don’t know why.
@AskAmex@AskAmex Please note that I already have spoken to multiple customer are agents already. My issue with how this is being handled by Amex is that (I) I have to narrate the issue every single time because I am speaking to different people.
