Nurse, steam engine fan, unionist, very ordinary golfer, political activist. And much more. Why anyone would think my views represent someone else is beyond me.
@AWUnion National Indigenous Officer Guyson Baker opened his address to #uniontown conference reciting the Statement from the heart.
And a simple message giving voice is Union business.
1 month to go #yes23
Geelong Trades Hall Secretary Tony Anderson speaking to #uniontown 2023 about a just transition for union workers in fossil fuel.
As the former @theamwu delegate at Ford Geelong who managed the transition from the closure, Tony is an expert in this field!
Guyson Baker just read the Statement from the Heart at the #Uniontown#Australia conference.
Today, I'm going to use my voice to humbly ask that you also read the statement.
This is why you are being asked to support Voice. All else is noise.

@chiefpad@AppleTV It's a little early for the Mule, but yeah, I'd love to see a return to the source material. The loss of atomic technology by the Periphery and the consequent reintroduction seems to me to have rich dramatic possibilities.

If they're walking out in protest over the deplatforming of a radical conservative with deeply illiberal views then it's just possible they will find themselves on the wrong side of history.
@mikeaubrey2@last_jones I don't know the details, but I speculate that this nursing home had neither sufficient numbers of staff, or sufficiently skilled staff to manage this person's behaviour. This is why the minimum care minutes and 24/7 registered nurses on site is so vital.
Kangaroo mother care is effective and feasible in all settings – incl. low, middle and high-income countries.
With wider uptake, it could save the lives of hundreds of thousands of babies born early or small each year https://t.co/ezrLzSPuIA

@sallymcmanus@StephenJonesMP But by not making it mandatory that the money goes to workers, the risk is that operators will pocket and our all of the money. That's not what taxpayers want.
