The taxation of unrealised gains is a direct attack on our farming families as well as every Australian. @AlboMP and @JEChalmers are pushing a policy that is at a dangerous disconnect from regional and all Australians.

As farmer Murray says in the article "we will not be able to afford to keep running the farm and we'll have to sell"

This tax is fundamentally bad and will negatively impact farmers lives and our nations food security.

What we must remember is Australian farms cover 61% of Australia's landmass and contribute $75 billion in exports. Farmers are key to Australia's value added GDP measures.

Labor claims 80,000 people will be affected. There are 136,000 farmers and graziers in Australia and 17,000 have farms in there super. Thousands and thousands of farmers will be caught by this stealth wealth tax.

We estimate the failure to index means over 8.1 million Australians will be impacted not to mention forced selling of assets that will occur, just like Murray plus the loss of $1.1 trillion of investment capital.

@TheAusInstitute in this article continue to talk about concessions and fails to mention Superannuation is a revenue contributor to the Budget not a cost. Superannaution delivers over $45 billion in revenue per annum.
