A quick follow up to my letter from two days ago. Great news: all the abducted Oriire schoolchildren and teachers have been rescued alive after 56 days. Thank you to our security agencies and to Mr President for seeing this through. 🇳🇬

💭 Lionel Messi: “I don’t want to forget Diego, who put our country where it deserved to be”.
“I know he helped us when he was here with us and also from heaven, every step of the way”.
🇵🇹🫂🇦🇷 Cristiano Ronaldo: “Leo, so many years defending your country and a story that will live on forever”.
“You have all my respect for everything you’ve achieved with Argentina. A hug”.
🤍 Luka Modrić on Leo Messi: “Leo has done something incredible with the national team, he won the World Cup that he wanted and he's one of the best players in the world”.
“It has been a pleasure watching him play, even though I've suffered a lot against him, both with the national team and at Real Madrid”.
Messi did not retire because he was washed. Against Benin yesterday, he was still the best player on the pitch, and not just because of the three goals.
At 39, he left because the next generation deserved its chance. Better to exit in the glow of greatness than in the shadow of what once was.
These are now the beginning of the last days of his entire career. What a run!
The cycle of life is interesting . You grow up gradually watch your parents become your babies . Everyday passes with you seeing your parents active until one day , you notice the greys , and discover they start to slow down.. it hits you! Old age is here! They need you!
There are nights when sleep becomes difficult because responsibility has a way of keeping your mind active. You start thinking about the decisions ahead, the expectations, the people counting on you, and the impact of every move you make. But I don’t see those thoughts as fear. I see them as the weight of leadership. When responsibility comes suddenly, you don’t have the luxury of waiting until you feel completely ready. You step up, you study the situation, you make the difficult decisions, and you take ownership of the outcome. I may have questions, but I have no doubt about my ability to handle what is before me. The responsibility is heavy, but so am I.
I will never fully understand why God wrote my story the way he did; but I'm sure he wrote it with tears in his eyes saying.... "Trust me my child; you're going to make it.”✨
