@Dzm_0 Wouldn't read too much into it. The Athletic usually sits on the fence until it gets the green light to release factual information.
When Carrick gets sacked their articles will be saying "United made the decision that manager X,Y, Z was the best fit back in April"
@centredevils@JacobsBen Get this wrapped up by the end of the season.
The last thing we need is another drawn out manager saga that ends in us keeping a gaffer that we know isn't the long term solution.
🚨 JUST IN: Julian Nagelsmann is interested in taking the Manchester United job if he decides to return to club management this summer.
Nagelsmann’s full focus is on leading Germany in the upcoming World Cup at the moment, but he views the manager’s role at Old Trafford as an attractive proposition for the future.

INEOS kept on a manager they had no faith in, openly canvassing Europe for his successor but then armed him with £200m to spend on players he wanted, and changed the backroom staff before sacking him anyway. They axed a sporting director, whose way of working was well established, because he did not fit in with how they wanted him to work. He warned them about selecting a head coach attached to a fixed style of play, which didn’t suit the squad and how expensive it would be to build a quality 3-4-3. They didn’t listen, insisted they believed wholeheartedly in Ruben Amorim’s approach, but then wouldn’t fully back it in the transfer market and asked him to change the tactical principles that attracted them to him. Some “best in class” decision-making…
You haven't shown enough to warrant having that type of power at the club. You're very fortunate you weren't let go last season, as it is. Learn to string some wins together before starting power games.
🚨🚨🎙️| Ruben Amorim: “I am not going to quit. I am going to do my job until another guy is coming here to replace me. I am going to be the manager of this team, not just the coach. That is going to finish in 18 months and then everyone is going to move on. I came here to be the manager.”
Accounts like these genuinely believe footballers think the same hyper emotional nonsense as they do. If City/Pool/Bayern wanted Mbeumo and Cunha in the summer, they would not be playing for us right now. They signed for us because that was their best option.
It sounds like sour grapes, but we do genuinely need players who are attracted by the draw of bringing United back, because that’s where we are. Cunha, Sesko, Mbeumo all went for it over others. If someone isn’t up for that it’s good to know up front.
@MistaShellShock@ZAYN_Z7 Yeah I think we'll have to drop firmly into the bottom half for them to even consider it. They're happy to let their error play out for the time being.
