@MaiaDunphy I'd be thinking with a name like jonjo and random numbers it's a bot account. Like what actual person could come up with such a comment. Then again it takes all sorts to make a society, but some we could do without!
@Bikery1966 Here in Ireland we have a deposit return scheme and there are still cans and bottles discarded in lots of places. Those who just don't care won't care. Even about the unreturned deposit.
@Petewrestling@CautiousCh76802@seonghwaheart4@CyclingForMind Did the cyclist not react to the stupidity of the driver? Did the cyclist not take evasive action for their own safety? The cyclist did the correct actions but the driver made a very dangerous action that could have caused a KSI incident.
@Petewrestling@CautiousCh76802@seonghwaheart4@imrightthough@CyclingForMind The car was in the same lane, the left lane. The car should have held back as the cyclist was indicating to turn. They wouldn't have passed a car in the same manner. The cyclist moved over to take the turn as they should. The car should have waited. Bad move by the car driver.
@tarksmarks44@The_Running_Flo@CyclingForMind@AdamRothwell8_ You don't turn right from the right lane because that is the wrong side of the road to be in. We drive and cycle on the left side of the road. The right side is for oncoming traffic. It's a single carriageway with two way traffic.
@tarksmarks44@The_Running_Flo@CyclingForMind@AdamRothwell8_ If there is oncoming traffic in the right lane, the person looking to turn waits until the incoming traffic passes and then cross over making the right turn when the right lane is clear.
@Petewrestling@CautiousCh76802@seonghwaheart4@imrightthough@CyclingForMind Incorrect, if you look in the clip, the bike has a rear view mirror. The cyclist is shocked at the ignorance of the motorist who insists on passing on the right while they are trying to turn right. Wait for a couple of seconds and everyone stays safe.
@Beardyface4@SaferRoadsYorks By your calculations that is only true if the rider is riding completely inside the cycle lane in the verge or footpath as it is not measured from the wheel but from the outer edge of the person or handle bars, the outer most part.
@TheShireOfYork @righttobikeit The law, ha!!! Don't make me laugh. They'll do nothing. Have you see the other posts by RTBI about responses from the Gardai?
@but_cyclists What a π π. It might be a charity event that is raising money for a very worthy cause. But this caaaant doesn't care about any possibility, just get off the road. What a see you next Tuesday.
