As it's Mel Brooks' birthday I implore you to flick to 12:20 where he introduces Ronnie Graham & they sing 'Retreat'. Wonderful stuff https://t.co/aaZuKc5ndO #melbr
Thanks for your critique, Janet. We actually tried a couple of episodes where House (Hugh Laurie) (please put the brackets in the right place) gets it right first time, but they were only 6 minutes long. NBC weren’t happy. Then we tried some where House never gets it right and the patient dies. The audience wasn’t happy.
One could apply your trenchant analysis to other art forms: JS Bach wrote 30 Goldberg variations on the same chord structure; Frida Kahlo painted 50 portraits of herself; Henry Moore, what??
The point is, or was, variations on a theme; if all you see is hospital, medical blah blah, then it wasn’t meant for you.
Nonetheless, I look forward to your first novel!
@AdolphusSpriggs I’m particularly glad that these lovely children were here today to hear that speech. It expressed a courage little seen in this day and age.
There were two tiers of possible response to the express wishes of Henry Nowak's dignified family in the light of his traumatic murder. One humane and empathetic, the other inhumane and exploitative. This version of "Lyin' Eyes" (Eagles) is for @JDVance and those in the second.
@JonnyG I remember seeing it listed in the independent chart in my sister's Record Mirror before I'd even heard it. Was so intrigued by "Einstein A Go Go by Landscape." When it made the proper charts I was excited & I loved it. So yeah, I was that guy.
