Let's talk about Captain America's hypocrisy. He scolds Tony for trying to build a shield around the world, yet Steve spends his entire life imposing his own personal code of morality on global conflicts. Tony wanted protection through technology; Steve wanted protection through his own judgment. Neither was elected. So who exactly gave Steve Rogers the authority to decide what the world should believe, tolerate, or fight for?🎬🍿
THE HOUSE OF ASHUR — THE PRICE OF POWER
The House of Ashur was no longer a secret.
Everywhere in Rome, people were talking about it.
The fighters were winning.
The crowds were growing.
And the coins were pouring in.
But Ashur knew something the cheering crowds did not.
Success made enemies faster than failure ever could.
One evening, a wealthy Roman arrived at the ludus.
He didn't come to watch the gladiators.
He came to watch Ashur.
“You've become ambitious,” the man said.
Ashur poured himself wine.
“Ambition is what keeps a slave from dying a slave.”
The Roman smiled.
“Careful. Men have died for less.”
Ashur looked directly into his eyes.
“Then perhaps they didn't know enough.”
The smile disappeared.
That night, Ashur received an offer.
A powerful patron wanted one of his best gladiators to lose an upcoming match.
Not fight.
Not win.
Lose.
The payment was enormous.
Enough money to expand the ludus.
Enough to buy better weapons.
Enough to secure Ashur's position among Rome's elite.
But there was one problem.
The gladiator chosen for the match was one of Ashur's most loyal fighters.
A man who believed Ashur had given him a second life.
If Ashur ordered him to lose, the man would die.
If Ashur refused, the patron could destroy everything he had built.
For the first time, Ashur faced an enemy he couldn't simply manipulate.
Rome itself.
The next morning, the fighter entered the arena.
Thousands screamed his name.
Ashur watched from the shadows.
The signal came.
His gladiator was expected to fall.
But Ashur gave no command.
Instead, he stood.
And with one gesture...
He told his fighter to win.
The arena erupted.
His gladiator defeated his opponent.
The crowd went insane.
But behind the celebrations, Ashur understood what he had just done.
He had humiliated a powerful Roman.
And powerful Romans did not forgive humiliation.
That night, a message arrived at his door.
Only six words were written on the tablet:
“You have chosen your enemies.”
Ashur read it.
Then smiled.
Because he had already chosen something else.
His side.
And from that night onward, the House of Ashur would no longer be fighting only for survival.
It would be fighting for control.
