Roger I work in construction for a subcontractor and union influence has continued to put upward pressure on trades rates. They offer more on union controlled commercial sites and that flows through to residential. Now they think they’re worth $1000 a day type stuff. Usually unlicensed and often uninsured as well. Trade rates have to come down because material costs won’t. The cost of building is getting unsustainable.
@KevCorduroy Last question of interest from the election- who gets the presidency? Labor may try to offload it and reduce opposition numbers on the floor? Dennis Hood rumoured target.
@AntonyGreenElec@KevCorduroy@Kosdan The independent did a deal with libs for preferences and then reneged. Libs couldn’t change the HTV. That won him the seat. Confusing why ON wasn’t preferenced above the independent as better to lose to Labor than an independent who is harder to defeat.
@scientificecon How much do you know about energy prices in Australia, its property bubble and likelihood of economic disaster in the future? Banks hugely tied up in property.
@NFTdavie Check out @NFTeams_ genuine utility and about to start a contest to giveaway a bored ape. Still $1 million in the kitty which will eventually be given away to all holders via monthly contests
@rjmontgomery We need one state, or territory to trial it and the country can see the results. Self interest trumps common sense in this country so we’ve got to get around that..
