@spaceman_cometh@Krissa_Kray_ I was in the corp office but visited a group home once for a defensive driving course held there. We were in a closed room and it was still almost impossible to hear with all the screaming and banging going on outside. I had a newfound respect for those workers after that.
@spaceman_cometh@Krissa_Kray_ Right out of college I worked for a non profit that ran group homes for developmentally disabled adults. They gave them jobs to do like clean the office buildings for a couple extra bucks, and generally seemed happy. But they are a lifetime of 24/7 care well after parents die.
@RealBrittHughes There could be a baby with his heart developing outside his body with no arms and legs and you’d still call and reason for abortion unnecessary and immoral. Well to some people it’s immoral to let a child suffer living that way.
@ThymeToBeBorn@mom_of_littles As a person that believes in God I would rather my child to be in heaven then live a life trapped in a body they can’t control from day 1. Cause it’s not just the severe mental incapabilities, it comes with debilitating physical ones as well.
@Mafioso_716@stoolpresidente Where is the funny part? If he was wearing a naked suit or something it would be funny, but he’s just a douche that wanted content.
@ThymeToBeBorn@mom_of_littles Not wanting to have a child grow up heavily disabled until they die at an early age after a lifetime of suffering isn’t some shameful or cowardice act.
