Have been thinking about dropping these for a while as I'm not one to keep stuff on my hard drive, and its basically the last scraps from Ghost Sloth. Feels nice to get these out of the way and give the project closure.
Hey folks! Next friday I'm dropping a collection of B-Sides and Outtakes on Bandcamp. These are some scraps from LP2, some random songs recorded on May 2022 and 4 minutes of an upcoming project.
Before LP3 was a thing, the original idea was to release an EP of outtakes + albumless tracks.
Kinda forgot about it til I found the folder today. I'm not one to keep stuff unreleased on my hard drive so that's def happening sooner rather than later
The original idea was a heavy bass centric tune on F# with a ton of solos and synth play. Ended up with a country tune on G with only guitar, my voice, melódica, my stomp and salt as a shaker.
Put on the cowboy hat for this one. Spent yesterday all stressed out because I couldn't make the song work, then all of a sudden, divine inspiration and I recorded it as a whole in a heartbeat.
Welp, my laptop (only pc) has gone out of service temporarily cuz of an inflating battery so... Guess that's a wrap on the 1st half of LP1 sessions.
4/7 songs done (except vocals of one), who wants some demos!
Some of the more compassionate, kinder, and more loving people I know are reformed versions of the broken or hopeless people they used to be.
Just a reminder to not give up on yourself. You have worth and you may end up becoming someone’s template for doing/becoming better.
On this day in 1949, NASCAR held its first-ever "Strictly Stock" race.
Thirty-three drivers raced at Charlotte Speedway, six of which were future NASCAR Hall of Famers. Jim Roper was declared the winner following a disqualification to Glenn Dunaway.
Totally love seeing this again knowing that there’s a good chance a new one on one is on the way.
Mostly I love remembering this first time I was able to hear the Josaleigh Pollett album in full and the grace with which they carried this interview. I am but a mirror my friends.
Putting my best David Bazan for some of these LP1 tunes. It's the first time in a long while where I really connected with an artists' voice in this way
