"I farm just under 5,000 acres myself,"
Says multi-multimillionaire Lord Lloyd Webber, whose descendants will now presumably have to pay inheritance tax on it.
The "ordinary farmers" are really out in force huh.
Please spare a thought for James Dyson, the Brexit-voting billionaire who bought up 33,000 acres of farmland to avoid tax. Without people like him, farmland would be more affordable for actual farmers.
@EstherMcVey1 Look at those companies profit increases over last 8 year. They can’t afford to increases prices the leaner less greedy German retailers will take market share. It a easy win and something needs to be done to improve the country and the mess the conservative left us
So, according to right wing gobshites…
Labour are bad for accepting donations from trade unions and for negotiating better Ts&Cs for working people.
But Tories are fine accepting donations from racist misogynists, Russian oligarchs, climate deniers and fossil fuel fans.
Wild.
The Irish win over SA just shows they had 10s capable of having a bigger role in the World Cup. This surely cost them their best chance of the ultimate glory
Scotland have named a young squad to face Canada in the Summer Series with 10 uncapped players set to earn their debut! 🏴

Not again! I have NOT given my permission to be used in political adverts. This is NOT an endorsement by me in any way. I maintain strict party neutrality and am unhappy at the weaponizing of my reputation in this way.
While this isn't as bad as the first terrible representation – which said it this about tax - there's still a misdirection. As I’ve already stated, in that private conversation I was referring to Labour hoping to make a positive change I’ve been campaigning for, but it didn’t want to lock it in the manifesto as it can’t promise to deliver.
NO party’s manifesto tells the full story. ALL parties have things they hope to do but that aren’t in manifestos – as they can’t guarantee to deliver. The idea that Labour is an outlier for that is preposterous.
Sensible folk of Tatton. Please make Esther Mcvey, minister without portfolio, a minister without a job. If you are Lib Dem or Green, please lend your vote to Labour. #tacticalvote
Rishi Sunak said he wants to crackdown on Benefit Fraud which was a measly £65m in 2020.
He dodged £45m in tax by himself this year, and his wife did about the same.
If he simply paid the taxes due in his own house he would do far more than eradicating benefit fraud.
Can I just suggest @Keir_Starmer that you pick an unresolved Tory tax evasion or corruption incident and get your people to focus on it and talk about it constantly on the media rounds. It’s not like you haven’t got plenty to choose from. Get on the front foot. Fight back!
The UK has the highest retirement age in the world, the lowest pension in Europe, the longest working hours in Europe, one of the lowest minimum wages, the highest energy costs, the biggest profits, and the lowest taxes for the richest.
It all needs to change.
