@patcarino I like the door swing better in figure A, provides privacy to the T/S. Overall layout I like figure B due to the way you’ve created open spaces for older folks or a spot for another movable piece of furniture. Like a trash receptacle, hamper etc. My two cents, not a pro!
@mwmoedinger I absolutely love to study old framing in buildings. People think I’m crazy! Looking at the mortise and tenons, re-used materials etc. These are fantastic pieces of history in my opinion. Then again, I’m way into building things!
@mwmoedinger I’ve had this several times. The last was a commercial roofer trying to explain to me how he was going to save me money by redesigning the crickets and tie in points to existing building. I replied with, do what the drawings show and you’ll save yourself some money. Ha!
@mwmoedinger Great story! I remember the days as an apprentice on the job with all the old timers. I figured that if I could stick it out, I would be ok. Some days I would get home and tell my girlfriend (now my beautiful wife) that I was through with this!! She supported me through and glad!
