Former Pro Bowl edge Za’Darius Smith was released off the #Eagles reserve/retired list today, an indication that he’s open to playing in the right situation.
Smith played five games last season before a surprise retirement, but is still only 33 years old.
I texted Aaron Donald about coming out of retirement and playing for the Rams, alongside Myles Garrett:
“I’m for sure flirting with the idea. Helluva an opportunity with the Super Bowl in SoFi this year. If I can find the fire, it’s a possibility.”
BREAKING: The #Dolphins and Pro Bowl RB De'Von Achane have agreed to a 4-year extension worth $68M, making him the NFL’s 3rd-highest-paid RB at $17M per year with $32M guaranteed, per multiple sources.
The APY and guarantees are the most ever for RBs coming off rookie contracts in a deal negotiated by @Leah_Knight of @RocNationSports.
The #Dolphins are expected to hire #Jaguars senior personnel executive Josh Scobey, sources tell @CBSSports.
Before joining Jacksonville in 2024, was director of college scouting for the #Cardinals.
Jon-Eric Sullivan told @JoeRoseShow that first-round pick Kadyn Proctor will start out at left guard and the team will see how things progress
On drafting Proctor: “We feel like we not only plugged a hole, but did so with the best player available.”
Sullivan said Proctor will cross train at tackle & guard, but will start off at LG with Jonah Savaiinaea moving to right guard
This could be very very beneficial to both Proctor and Jonah.
Jonah is more comfortable on the right side and combining Proctor with Pat Paul is insane.
It’s refreshing to see a GM make logical moves.

SOURCES: The #Jets were targeting Jacob Rodriguez at No. 44, but after he went at 43, they adjusted—trading back to select Indiana’s D’Angelo Ponds while adding a fourth-round pick.
The move was aimed at stockpiling extra capital to potentially trade back into the late third round for QB Garrett Nussmeier, who still remains available with a few picks left in the round.
Per @RapSheet , the doctor who repaired the ACL of new Dolphins receiver Chris Bell told teams this week that he's ahead of schedule and running 18 plus mph and very good chance he will be ready for start of season.
📹 @TomPelissero says the Dolphins are making calls about moving up to the first few picks of the second round tonight.
Miami has 11 picks, and may be looking to package one or two to get to one of their highest rated players on the board #PhinsUp
