@newftbj Not a bad argument. Couple challenges for Mass, imo, one is cutting down divisions. What’s the right amount? Probably around 5 or 6. I like the divisions idea a lot, keep these games local. Splitting coops and tech might be tough. Regional schools and Catholics need to do that to

@starsnstripesfc I loved the hire initially but has he done anything to get excited about? Didn’t have a great record, lost four matches in a row at one point, knocked out in ugly fashion in the World Cup, in a round we always lose in. Not against this per se, but don’t get the excitement.

@wwalsh Not defending any of this but on the tv crew I think fifa supplies the feed so they only show what fifa gives them, so replays, etc. it’s probably not the tv crew missing it, it’s more fifa controlling the replays.

@BrendanKurie @MIAA033 I don’t understand the rationale of cutting the number of playoff teams in half for divisions 3-8. So d1 and d2 still get 16 teams (bc of super 8) but the rest only get 8?

@DannyHolg @AlexAgrellaRB That’s fair about football (coming from a state that doesn’t have thanksgiving football) I love the tradition. So did the playoffs start after the thanksgiving game? Cause now teams playing in the super bowl have their thanksgiving game the week before.

@DannyHolg @AlexAgrellaRB Why get rid of thanksgiving!? Moving to mass it’s one of the best traditions of the football season.

For the spring. Northeast should do what Iowa does. Has baseball/softball start a month later basically having a late spring/summer season.

@newftbj I don’t necessarily agree with all of Alex’s points but like you said, your solution will never happen. The Catholics are not leaving the miaa. So then what? We watch SJP/xavierian and CM win every d1 and d2 Super Bowl? I think having a catholic playoff at least has a chance.

@NFLFrascella I was 25 when the giants won in 07. My dad and I both took the day off from work to go to the parade. Everyone knew. Nearly 20 years later it was one of the most fun atmospheres I’ve been a part of. You think I’d remember what i did at work that day? Absolutely not!
