Sarki, I met my wife when she was just a medical student with nothing but big dreams and an unwavering determination to become a doctor.

She is an amazing doctor to her patients, an incredible mother to our daughter, and the most loving wife I could ever ask for.

She makes our house feel like a home. She never makes me feel like I’m carrying this marriage alone, I’ve always encouraged her to fly higher.

The problem has never been working women. The problem is most people assuming that every successful working woman will neglect her home.

My wife is living proof that a woman can wear a white coat all day, save lives, chase her dreams, and still come home to love her husband and children with her whole heart.

If I had to choose a wife a thousand times over, I would still choose her every single time.

Elders say that when a man loses his footing, the ground shakes for everyone around him. Everything I will be saying here is the wisdom I got from my father.

Let me tell you one hard truth. Your husband is not fighting you; he is fighting his own shame. You said he took over a successful family business and brought it to ruin right? While you thrive? That is a huge confidence breaker.

His demand to take over your business is not about the children needing attention. It is a desperate attempt to feel like a leader and a provider again. No let anyone whine you.

And here you are. You do not want to lose your business and you do not want to lose your marriage. But there is a way our mothers handled it. A lot of our grandmothers were very wealthy market women, sometimes richer than their husbands.

But they understood that a man's ego will never allow him to sit at home and watch his wife feed him everyday. If you fight him head on over ownership, he will become toxic and he will find faults in everything you do just to prove he is the head of the house. Don’t go that route.

Instead, our mothers survived this by practicing invisible leadership. They gave the man influence without handing over the treasury.

Firstly, do not fight him face to face. Bring in that one uncle or elder he respects deeply. Let the elder soften the ground and make him see that taking your shop will not rebuild his father's company.

After the elder has spoken, sit him down and make him the chairman of your business. Let him handle the big suppliers, the landlords, or the government people. Give him a title that commands respect when he steps outside. But keep the bank tokens and the daily market operations in your own hands.

You also have to feed his need to lead. Consult him on things you already have the answers to. Ask him if you should buy ten cartons or fifteen, even when you know you are buying fifteen. It makes him feel in charge of the family vision.

Then, if the business is making good profit, free up some capital for him. Tell him you want him to use his experience to start a new branch or a completely different venture. Give him his own project to build.

When a man has his own vision to chase, he will stop fighting you for yours. That is how you keep your home peaceful and protect the sweat of your hands.

Here is the business idea 💡.

The business idea is to invest in a Starlink internet setup and operate it as a local internet service provider in a strategic location.

The plan is simple: people within the coverage area connect to the Wi-Fi and pay a daily access fee. Based on my assessment of the location I have in mind, I'm confident i can consistently attract about 50 to 80 users daily, even though the system can support up to around 120 connected users.

Let me first correct a perception that people have about these prayers. Many people treat "Shaf'" as if it is a completely independent prayer with its own special status separate from Qiyam al-Layl. The word "Shaf'" just means "even" in Arabic.

Every single two-unit prayer you perform during your night worship is technically a shaf'. There is no separate intention or unique format for it. You are just praying in pairs of two.

As regards the best timing, the ideal approach is to make Witr, which means "odd" in Arabic, the very last prayer of your night.

If you have the discipline and confidence that you will wake up in the deep part of the night for Qiyam, you should delay your Witr. You wake up, pray your sets of two units (what you know as Shaf’), and then crown the whole night with that single odd unit of Witr.

But if you are tired and fear that sleep might win, the safer option is to pray some two-unit sets and your Witr right after Isha before going to bed.

If you still manage to wake up later in the night for Qiyam, you can go ahead and pray more pairs of two. You just will not repeat the Witr, because there is no double Witr in one night.

But where are the Imams becoming pastors?

Imams memorize the Qur’an, teach tafsir, live the deen. If Islam was false, the scholars of Islam would leave first. But they don’t.

Instead, the people who know Christianity best are walking away from it. And the people who know Islam best are holding onto it tighter.

Qur’an 5:83 — _“When they listen to what has been sent down to the Messenger, their eyes overflow with tears because of the truth they recognize.”_

Maybe that tells you which book holds up when you actually study it.
