Also fwiw I would love to see Swindon come up. The derby with Reading is always 2nd best. It felt so flat in the last season in L1. Oxford Wycombe Reading Luton and Swindon in the same league would be entertaining #oufc
Serious questions need to be asked about the impact of the Indonesian pre-season tour. Such a slow and sluggish start to the season which imo had a massive detriment to our chances. #oufc
Not felt so despondent over a 4-1 win before but in reality I feel the club are in a good position to have a good go at getting back up at the first attempt. Just to keep as much of the first XI as possible bar the inevitable loanee departures of Lankshear and Konak. #oufc
IF we survive tonight's round of games I'll somehow find some renewed optimism that we have a lifeline to stay up... probably until Sheffield Weds take their second 3 points of the season 😂 #oufc
HUGE credit to Sparky here. Showed great desire to win the ball back and very composed finish. He gets a lot of stick for lack of goalscoring but two big moments this season (this and Leicester away). Hopefully vital goals in quest for survival #oufc
Might be crazy but today was must not lose. We didn't lose. 15 points still to play for and an easier run-in than some... 3 home games left, 3 home wins would do it. Maybe I am crazy #oufc
It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of 15-year-old Academy player, Amelia Aplin.
Amelia collapsed during a Girls’ Academy game against Fulham at the Club’s Training Centre in Horspath yesterday afternoon.
The thoughts and sincere condolences from everyone at Oxford United are with Amelia’s family, friends, teammates and coaches.
We would like to place on record our appreciation for the efforts of the medical staff at both Oxford United and Fulham Football Club, along with the emergency services.
The Club will offer support to Amelia’s family, players, coaches and staff impacted by this tragic event.
We would ask that the family’s privacy is respected at this incredibly difficult time.
Huge game tomorrow - it’s now or never for #oufc…
Their last win over West Brom came in September 1998, when Joey Beauchamp, Paul Powell and Simon Marsh scored in a 3-0 win over Denis Smith’s Baggies.
Joey’s goal was the pick of the bunch, of course…
