50 years is too long
A #FreeUnitedCyprus is long overdue 🇨🇾🕊️
Today, on this tragic 50th anniversary, and every day, we stand with Cyprus.
We stand in support of territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Cypriots deserve to live in a reunited country in conditions of peace, co-existence, stability and prosperity.
The Cyprus question is a European one. We will continue to firmly support Cyprus in the efforts to reunify the last divided EU member state, in line with the relevant UN Security Council Resolutions.
20.07.1974
36,2% of Republic of Cyprus territory remains occupied.
162,000 Greek-Cypriots became refugees in their own country.
1619 persons declared missing. Today, 758 persons’ fate remains unknown.
20,000 Greek-Cypriots and Maronites chose not to leave their homes. Today, 331 people are still enclaved.
Μore than 43.000 Turkish troops remain in the occupied areas of the Republic of Cyprus.
Since 1974, more than 160,000 Turks settlers were transferred to the occupied areas, altering Cyprus’ demographic profile and population balance.
Geographical names have been illegally changed and cultural and historical heritage is systematically eradicated aiming to the eventual "turkification" of the occupied areas.
Φτάνει. Yeter. Enough.
50 years since Turkey illegally invaded #Cyprus
50 years of #occupying 37% of our land
50 years of no justice for 200k #refugees who wait to go home
50 years of no answers for the relatives of the #missing@NEPOMAK UK will not forget & will continue to demand a #FreeUnitedCyprus
For too long now, the people of #Cyprus have been divided. On the 50th anniversary of the events of 1974, the UK restates its commitment to a lasting, comprehensive & just settlement which benefits all Cypriots, within the UN parameters of a Bi-zonal, Bi-Communal Federation 1/2

The areas around football clubs largely mirror the story of the election, especially those in Leagues One and Two - 58% of those clubs were in constituencies that voted Tory in 2019, now none of them are. Meanwhile, two independents are in the Champions League.
It is an honour to have been elected as the Labour Member of Parliament for Bexleyheath and Crayford.
I've heard clearly that my constituents need their faith in politics restored. I'll be getting to work to deliver the change people across Bexleyheath & Crayford have voted for
Thanks to our incredible members for another set of sessions listening to residents in Bexleyheath & Welling yesterday.
Across the constituency, we’re receiving a clear message that our community & country needs change with more & more people telling us they’ll be voting Labour

Today while canvassing, a business owner told us they've always voted Conservative and have private healthcare, but their workers don't and they see how tough it is for them. It's time for change. #VoteLabour#HealthcareForAll
