@McDermottQC I had the privilege of marshalling HHJ Fletcher shortly before starting pupillage and he was nothing short of brilliant. The fairness and empathy with which he approached cases was remarkable. His choice of football team only cemented my admiration of him.
I’m convinced that that little wave that bus drivers give each other generates enough positive vibes that it could* fuel a small town for a week. Be cheaper too.

I’m probably going to regret this but here is a long thread about the Parole Board decision in Tracy Connelly's case. This is a difficult case which arouses very strong feelings. It's understandable that people are troubled by it.
