@tomwhitby The challenge with this is that it means that there will be dozens of individual discipline policies within one school. It can be confusing for the adults - and even worse for the students! #EdChat

I had a lesson on that last bit yesterday. Quite often student are afraid that giving the "wrong answer" will result in "looking stupid" in front of their peers. #EdChat

As an ELA teacher, I find value in including regional authors and poets and tying more standard literature to the local culture. So in that case, the flexibility of local control is helpful. #EdChat
