My sense of what season to celebrate right now is so conflicted.
I just put up our pool outside from this weekend when it was over 100°☀️, we have Halloween decorations & blow ups🎃, and my kids are in Christmas jammies and we are dancing to #itsofficiallychristmas@DanAndShay🎄
Welp. I tried to wait until after Halloween, but looks like the Christmas tree is coming out today. (@DanAndShay are 100% to blame) #ItsOfficiallyChristmas
My husbands night was made when @ShayMooney complimented his beard. 😂
When anyone asks him about the concert he responds with how amazing of a show @DanAndShay put on and how Shay liked his beard.
Picture of him holding “his” shirt 😜
My husband: “You weren’t kidding when you said you were going to wear that @DanAndShay jersey everyday”
😅 Day 3. Washed it during church today so good as new 🤷🏼♀️
Last night we went to a @DanAndShay concert to celebrate my wife's 30th birthday. I arrived at the concert knowing maybe 1 or 2 of their songs, but I left as a huge fan.
Not necessarily for the music (even though it was great), but for those guys as people.
Most performers (from my experience) don't put much effort into learning about the town they are performing in or really connecting with the audience on a personal level. Most come in cold.
Dan + Shay were different. Between each song they would comment about the town, about experiences playing at that venue previously, or about the local football team. They knew how to connect with us on a personal level. They even called the hogs (woo pig!).
When the concert ended, they stayed afterward giving out autographs, taking selfies, etc. forever. When we left, they were still meeting fans.
Although it was a concert, I left having learned a massive lesson on connecting with your audience (customers). Get to know your customers, connect with them, try to build a relationship instead of just closing the deal.
People might use your service out of convenience or reputation, but if you take the time to connect with them, they'll stay because they're a true fan.
P.S. - my wife asked me to block out her face on the photo. I promise she's real
I’ve literally grown up through @DanAndShay
High school fun with the “Where it All Began”album, Graduated college in ‘19 (19 You+Me), got married & walked the isle to Speechless, built a family (From the Ground Up + When I Pray for You), & currently living “Bigger Houses” 💛
