@CRSmith73@Hertz He kept calling me back. Eventually, I called Hertz again (after having had several previous calls to them dropped after asking the AI “customer rep” to let me talk to a human) & after holding for 1/2 hr w/out getting disconnected, spoke to a person who said I’d receive a refund
I usually rent from @avis but for today I booked a car with @hertz. My reservation was for 10:30 a.m. When I arrived, I was told they had no cars, I was # 21 on the waitlist & it would take 2 hours to get a car. As it approaches 3 hours, I’m still waiting. This is insane.
@CRSmith73@Hertz Minutes after posting my complaint, I got a call from “Online Escalation” via X Audio. The guy said he was w/ Hertz & told me to download an app called WorldRemit & register for an account with it, to process my refund. He had what sounded like an African accent. It was unreal.
@HertzAssists@Hertz He instructed me to download an app called WorldRemit to my phone & then register for an account with it, to process my refund. He had what sounded like an African accent. He initiated the call to me, with the call appearing as “X audio” and “Online Escalation.” Clearly a scam.
@vasabjit_b@Hertz Hertz wasted my entire day today. Went to get a car I booked weeks ago but they had no cars available. Wasted 3 hours waiting for a car until being told maybe they’d have a car 6 hours. Then got a scam call after posting complaint on X. Multiple calls to Hertz re refund dropped.
@claimpage5007@Avis@Hertz I’m trying to call @Hertz to see if this can be straightened out but I’ve been on hold for a long time after asking the friendly AI voice to talk to a person. A long time. . . . Still waiting.
@claimpage5007@Avis@Hertz I had a car reserved for 10:30 a.m. at your Lafayette Street, NY, NY location. You should be able to get my number from my reservation.
@claimpage5007@Avis@Hertz The guy - with what seemed like a heavy African accent - claimed to be from @Hertz. Are you aware of people trying to scam your dissatisfied customers? Or is this really how your “customer service” works?
@claimpage5007@Avis@Hertz It seemed more like a scam than a legit customer service rep. But he called me via X and it said “online escalation” as the call came in, so I assumed it was Hertz, as I had just posted my tweet, tagging @Hertz.
@HertzAssists One of your customer service reps just wasted over an hour of my time, @hertz, and told me you’re not capable of crediting back my credit card due to some unexplained technical issues. Really? Do I havre to sue you in small claims court for my refund?
