Addison Rae is going to release her debut album in end of May, just in time for the summertime.
Charli XCX collab in the record.
The sound of the record is a mixture of her 2024 releases, with a LOT of Madonna and Gaga influences in it.
The “official/real” Mayhem tour was supposed to be next year. It still is on the books (from as far as i know) but the ideas & concept she had for a Mayhem show, the stadiums weren’t able to give the same results as arenas, that’s why she did this “Mini Mayhem Tour Leg”
I wasn’t planning to tour this year after my shows in Singapore but the incredible response to the new album inspired me to keep things going. It came together super quickly thanks to Arthur Fogel and the amazing team at Live Nation, who planned a global tour in just a few weeks. We chose arenas this time to give me the opportunity to control the details of the show in a way you simply can’t in stadiums—and honestly, I can’t wait. This show is designed to be the kind of theatrical and electrifying experience that brings MAYHEM to life exactly how I envision it. The MAYHEM Ball Tour is officially coming your way. See you soon, monsters.
No, the rollout plan for Mayhem was that it would start after Joker 2 (which would push the record’s success). Die With A Smile was a scrapped song which later on, turned into a collaboration and was supposed to be a droplet but somehow it was fitted into Mayhem
Curiosity has me wanting all the details and exact timeline of what developed after this night (May 23. 2024).
What’s clear is that she’s wearing a MAYHEM (‘Perfect Celebrity’?) era wig and the “Disease” car.
- was “Disease” supposed to be released in early June 2024 and the album prior to ‘Joker 2’?
- As we know the direction of the album was changed a bit. Was the direction of the album changed after this night since that night she said it was a type of music she’s never done before?
- if there was a delay in releasing “Disease”, why?
- where does “Die with a Smile” fit into all this? Did they work on the song before or after this night? What was the initial plan with the song?
- was the ‘Harlequin’ album in the works or even planned to be a thing then?
It all worked out so well in the end. But just so curious about the story behind it all.
Gesaffelstein produced 3 tracks on MAYHEM (Garden Of Eden, Killah, Blade Of Grass) and did additional writing and programming on a 4th song (Perfect Celebrity)
Mayhem’s aesthetic is very minimal but dark. Just like the album. Minimal but also dark lyrics, production and music videos.
Same goes for the Coachella set 👀
