Think of all the people who worked at the world trade center on 9/11 that were kidnapped on their way to work and presumed dead never to be seen again when in reality they're still alive trapped in someone's underground sex dungeon.
@comic@CochranCrypto This one is "disengaging in bad faith" or strategic withdrawal—ending the argument because you cannot defend your position on the merits.
@comic@CochranCrypto When comparing 2 quotes, it's best to show both quotes, so people can use their own eyes to compare. What you did was share one, then made up one, and expected your audience to trust you that I really said what you're claiming I said. But they can scroll up and see that I didnt
@comic@CochranCrypto No you didn't. You copied one portion, then made up one, pointed to the discrepancy, and said SEE?!? You can win this argument by showing both quotes but for some reason you only showed 1 quote and then in your words described an argument I never made. I underlined it for you.
@comic@CochranCrypto This is a straw man fallacy: they replace your actual argument with a distorted, exaggerated, or different version that is easier to attack, then respond as though they refuted you.
Ok keep going. I like ascribing language to arguments.
@comic@CochranCrypto You made up a contraction and then said court is adjourned. Show us the direct quotes (you can't). Argument over. Gg enjoy your day too playa
@comic@CochranCrypto Ad hominem attacks (calling people a clown) is not going to win the debate vs me. I ascribe language to your tactics and suddenly everyone in this thread can see you cannot argue based on merit so instead you attack the messenger. Keep going I wanna practice identifying these
@comic@CochranCrypto Clever of you to put someone else's argument into my mouth so you could conjure up a point of "mine" to disagree with. Bullish for my side!
@comic@CochranCrypto I said it will go up forever because it's a superior technology that smarter people of the future will want to adopt as their currency fails. And the mechanics of supply and demand combined with bitcoins tokenomics lead to the conclusion that number go up as demand grows.
@CochranCrypto@comic And the longer the network goes without interruption or breaking, *strengthens* the network. Hence why his point is bullish but he can't even see it thru his own contradictions.
@comic@CochranCrypto I'm not seeing that in my tweets I was contradicting you not me. Can you highlight the contradiction or is it just a trust me bro sorta thing?
@comic@CochranCrypto It's like discovering electricity today and thinking people in the future won't want it bc they'd prefer oil lamps. If I discovered electricity I wouldn't go long oil lamps or candles. I may even short candles if I'm feeling frisky.
@comic@CochranCrypto It's not foolish to think that in a land of imperfect money that perfect money will somehow be in less demand in the future than today. And if demand in future increases, and the supply is fixed, it's not foolish to think the price will go up. In fact it's kinda smart!
@comic@HomoBitcoinicus If they knew that Bitcoin was like the 40th iteration after 39 predecessors failed they would be more bullish than they are now. They don't realize the volume of work and innovation behind the network they don't even realize bitcoin is a network they think it's a stock.
