32 years ago today, Baruch Goldstein, a Jewish supremacist settler, stormed into the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron during Friday prayers and killed 29 Palestinians, injuring over 150 more.
And the world remains silent.
Day after day, and week after week, Palestinians in the West Bank face attacks in which homes are burned, property destroyed, and families driven out in full view of state authorities and complicity. These acts are not isolated incidents but part of a pattern that unfolds with total impunity.
The Israeli army does not intervene to stop it, the police do not investigate, and the political leadership either openly backs the perpetrators or remains conspicuously silent. Religious figures justify the violence and encourage it, much of the public treats it as background noise, and online spaces reward it with applause.
What emerges is not merely lawlessness, but a system in which violence becomes normalised, accountability disappears, and dispossession proceeds without consequence.
