As of today, I will be minimizing & limiting my exposure on Twitter. Starting tomorrow, #ThenShowing is moving to Threads (Tiger_and_Bronto). I won't be deactivating this account, if only because I would like to have an archive of my time traveling movie memories.

Maybe a trip to West Seattle is in order for a James Bond double-bill (Admiral) and BONNIE & CLYDE (Granada). Then, if time, over to the Uptown for I LOVE YOU, ALICE B. TOKLAS.
#ThenShowing 7 Nov 1951, Seattle Times
He's a cat! And he owns a baseball team! It's called RHUBARB (Egyptian) and you need to see it. Also A STREETCAR NAME DESIRE (Music Hall), the maybe some escapism with THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL (Crest).
#ThenShowing 6 Nov 1985, Seattle P-I
Feeling down, for obvious reasons, so doing a retreat to the south county for BETTER OFF DEAD (Lewis & Clark) and BACK TO THE FUTURE (Renton Village).
#ThenShowing 5 Nov 1937, Seattle Times
I have never heard of Wanger's VOGUES OF 1938 (Liberty), so maybe? Should probably check out World Premiere of THE BARRIER (Paramount) with stars in attendance. I will def be catching one screening of Powell & Loy in DOUBLE WEDDING (5th Ave)
#ThenShowing 4 Nov 1947, Seattle Times
3 easy picks, Claude Rains' noir THE UNSUSPECTED (Orpheum), Lancaster noir BRUTE FORCE (Winter Garden) & seasonal classic MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET (Colonial). If I'm not too cinema'd out, then BACHELOR AND THE BOBBY-SOXER (Paramount).
Why is it that @TBSNetwork can show Progressive & Loreal commercials in scope aspect ratio (2.35:1) but blow out DIE HARD to fit the screen, making it slightly blurry and mostly unwatchable. Like people know about letterboxing, your sister channel @TCM does it ALL🎬THE🎬TIME!
#ThenShowing 1 Nov 1965, Seattle P-I
Feelin' the post-Halloween blues, so think I'll hit those MAGNIFICENT MEN IN THOSE FLYING MACHINES (Paramount) but evening screening gives me time to take in THE INTRUDER+THE IPCRESS FILE double-bill at the Orpheum.
#ThenShowing 31 Oct 1958, Seattle P-I
Halloween is here! First thing, I'm doing the IT! TERROR FROM BEYOND SPACE+CURSE OF THE FACELESS MAN double bill at the Coliseum. Then off to the Palomar for the 12 hour (3pm–3am) for the Giant Halloween Moviethon!
#ThenShowing 29 Oct 1936, Seattle Times
At the downtown movie palaces, I'm hitting THE GREAT ZIEGFELD (5th Ave) and CAIN AND MABEL (Blue Mouse), I guess. James Whale's SHOW BOAT (Venetian) is up on Cap Hill, then I'll hit the Colonial for THINGS TO COME.
#ThenShowing 28 Oct 1970, Seattle Times
First, FANTASIA at UA 150! The real decision, however, is which drive-in Boris Karloff marathon to hit? Sunset has 5 flicks, incl. COMEDY OF TERRORS & BLACK SABBATH, while El Rancho has only 3, but 2 favorites, RED DEATH & HAUNTED PALACE.
REMINDER! Special Seasonal-appropriate Cinema Dissection going on tomorrow (with me)! AND, the original film screens tonight @SIFFnews Egyptian, 8pm!

Quite a few scare pictures out at the late, lamented Valley 6 Drive-In, but I'going to stay in the city for the Marx Bros' double-bill LOVE HAPPY + COPACABANA (Neptune) then head over to the Harvard Exit for DIVA.
#ThenShowing 24 Oct 1963, Seattle Times
Daytime showtimes are in short supply today, so I guess I'll see Burt Lancaster in THE LEOPARD (5th Ave), Burton & Taylor in THE V.I.P.'S (Blue Mouse), and finish with Kurosawa's SANJURO (Ridgemont).
#ThenShowing 23 Oct 1953, Seattle Times
Bit of a sparse day, or at least nothing I'm wild to see. THOSE REDHEADS FROM SEATTLE (Lake City) is fun, no indication whether its in 3D though. And I'll go for MOGAMBO (Music Hall) on the big screen, and open to THE ROBE (5th Ave), too.
