@ChrisDavidGill Sometimes I write in silence, sometimes with atmospheric music (I make music for this purpose), and sometimes with ambient noise at a coffee shop or library. I find my writing gets more atmospheric when I have music, and I'm most productive with ambient noise.
@JWenner_Author The world is so connected now that I think a lot of these spellings are interchangeable. I'm not checking the nationality of writer when I see one or the other. Although, I do still find it strange when I see people I know are American spell colour.
My new Inhuman Genome album is live: "The Labyrinth of the Sleeping Wraith" The score to my novella of the same name about a writer haunted by nightmares and an elusive wraith. This album morphs between ambient soundscapes, melodic music, and heaviness.

@klhicks912 Yes. I'd stopped using them years ago, but then Ursula Le Guin encouraged them in Steering the Craft, and I follow her lead when I'm able and it makes sense for my kind of writing. They add something poetic when used well.
