The best part about Kim’s was they’d put any new release on their shelves the second they got the shipment in so you could always get the new Sopranos season like 3 days early
A few miles from where hundreds of people are queuing up to buy a maximum of three discs from the Criterion van, Paul Thomas Anderson’s new film has recreated the original Kim’s Video signage on Avenue A of the East Village, a potent reminder of what the city once had
@meathead This horseshit drives me crazy. A) what an asshole thing to say B) it’s maybe the least truthful thing to come out of this ding dong’s mouth and that’s saying a lot. Meathead made a factual statement about food safety and he couldn’t argue so he tried to be mean and failed.
@meathead This whole ordeal has revealed of how short a jump it is from rejecting easily provable but extremely low stakes (or in this case steaks) science to full on climate change denial. In one case the worst that happens is underflavored meat, in the other? Yikes…
@DrewMcWeeny My four year old is obsessed with using the spell “Bone Chill” and wants every combat scenario to be “bone chillin’ time” and I can’t convince her otherwise. Plus I’m horrendous at the game.
I had the pleasure of directing @JackQuaid92 a few years back and he is no joke the hardest working, most prepared, and least entitled actor I’ve ever worked with (no shade to the others).
The irony of is this quote is that Jack Quaid is one of the best examples of folks doing the work and being gracious about his advantages, and my sense is that he’s widely beloved for it.
