Jim: “Why don’t you guys write something too?”
Robby: “Okay, what should I write about?”
Jim: “Something universal, something that won’t go out of style in a year or six months.”
And just like that, “Light My Fire” was born.
“I think of myself as an intelligent, sensitive human being with the soul of a clown which always forces me to blow it at the most important moments.”
— Jim Morrison

When Jim and @JohnDensmore first met, Jim handed him a piece of paper with the following lyrics:
“the day destroys the night
Night divides the day
Tried to run, tried to hide
Break on through to the other side”
John instantly thought, “I want to drum to that!”

I love people who can put their pride aside, apologize, and actually change. That self awareness, accountability, and emotional intelligence is so attractive.
