🇺🇸⚡️US Ambassador to Ukraine Julie Davis is stepping down due to disagreements with Trump on relations between the countries, — Financial Times
The publication writes that Davis is disappointed by the lack of support for Kyiv from the president.
Recall that her predecessor, Ambassador Bridget Brink, also left the post of US Ambassador to Ukraine in April 2025, because she disagreed with the policy of the Trump administration. At that time, Brink expressed principled disagreement with the White House's position on Ukraine, believing that the aggressor - Russia - does not receive sufficient pressure. Her resignation was an act of principled position.
In any normal country, purchasing stolen goods is an act that entails legal liability. This applies, in particular, to grain stolen by Russia. Another vessel carrying such grain has arrived at a port in Israel and is preparing to unload. This is not – and cannot be – legitimate business. The Israeli authorities cannot be unaware of which ships are arriving at the country’s ports and what cargo they are carrying.
Russia is systematically seizing grain on temporarily occupied Ukrainian land and organizing its export through individuals linked to the occupiers. Such schemes violate the laws of the State of Israel itself. Ukraine has taken all necessary steps through diplomatic channels to prevent such incidents. However, we see that yet another such vessel has not been stopped. I have instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to inform all partners of our state about the situation.
Based on information from our intelligence services, Ukraine is preparing a relevant sanctions package that will cover both those directly transporting this grain and the individuals and legal entities attempting to profit from this criminal scheme. We will also coordinate with European partners to ensure that the relevant individuals are included in European sanctions regimes.
Ukraine counts on partnership and mutual respect with every state. We are genuinely working to enhance security, particularly in the Middle East region. We expect that the Israeli authorities will respect Ukraine and refrain from actions that undermine our bilateral relations.
Jimmy Kimmel responded directly to Melania Trump during his opening monologue on Monday night after the First Lady called for his firing: "I agree that hateful and violent rhetoric is something we should reject. I do. And I think a great place to start to dial that back would be to have a conversation with your husband about it."
"You know how sometimes you wake up in the morning and the First Lady puts out a statement demanding you be fired from your job? We've all been there, right? What a day.
"As you know, they had to cancel the White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington on Saturday night after a man with multiple guns and knives crashed the party and may have shot a Secret Service officer. Fortunately, the guy was wearing a bulletproof vest and is okay. He was charged today. No one was hurt, thank goodness. A lot of people were shaken up on a night that is supposed to be light-hearted.
"The White House Correspondents' Dinner, if you don't know, it used to be an annual event before Trump showed up, but every year they'd have a comedian roast the room. The President, the Vice President, members of the press—everybody got roasted. I did it once; I hosted it. It was a lot of fun.
"But this year they said, 'No comedian. We're bringing in a mentalist instead.' So on Thursday, three days before the event, in order to keep that cherished tradition alive, I did my own version of the correspondents' dinner on my show. I put on a tuxedo. We pretended we had an audience of luminaries. We used old footage of the Trumps, of Pete Hegseth, J.D. Vance, Kid Rock, Vanilla Ice, all the members of his cabinet, and we made it seem like they were all together in a room. We had a little roast.
"Again, this was Thursday, and there was no big reaction to it until this morning when I greeted the day facing yet another Twitter vomit storm, and a call to fire me from our First Lady, Melania Trump, saying I should be fired because of a joke I made, again, five nights ago.
"It was a pretend roast. I said, 'Our First Lady, Melania, is here. Look at her. So beautiful. Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow.' Which obviously was a joke about their age difference and the look of joy we see on her face every time they're together. It was a very light roast joke about the fact that he's almost 80 and she's younger than I am. It was not, by any stretch of the definition, a call to assassination, and they know that. I've been very vocal for many years speaking out against gun violence in particular.
"But I understand that the First Lady had a stressful experience over the weekend, and probably every weekend is pretty stressful in that house. And also, I agree that hateful and violent rhetoric is something we should reject. I do. And I think a great place to start to dial that back would be to have a conversation with your husband about it... because, by the way, I also should point out: Donald Trump is allowed to say whatever he wants to say, as are you, and as am I, as are all of us. Because under the First Amendment, we have as Americans a right to free speech."
Someone photographed TSMC's most classified chip blueprints on a smartphone, uploaded them to a corporate cloud, and walked out the door. He just got 10 years. The technology he tried to steal is what every superpower on earth is desperately trying to get their hands on.
On April 27, 2026, Taiwan's Intellectual Property and Commercial Court sentenced Chen Li-ming, a former TSMC engineer who had moved to Tokyo Electron Taiwan, a subsidiary of Japan's major semiconductor equipment supplier, to 10 years in prison. He recruited two active TSMC engineers to leak confidential 2-nanometer process technology, the most advanced chip manufacturing process currently in commercial production anywhere on earth. The method: photographing sensitive data off computer monitors with a smartphone and uploading it to a corporate cloud. Tokyo Electron Taiwan was also indicted as a corporation for failing to supervise him.
This is the first time Taiwan has ever applied its National Security Act to semiconductor IP theft, a deliberate signal that trade secret theft in this industry is now treated as a threat against the state itself, not just a corporate crime.
The broader context makes that signal urgent. The gap between TSMC's leading-edge process technology and what China's most advanced domestic chipmaker SMIC can currently produce is estimated at five to seven years. The CCP has poured over $100 billion into its domestic chip industry trying to close that gap. US export controls have blocked the equipment needed to close it legitimately. Taiwan's own intelligence agencies have publicly warned that China has been systematically targeting TSMC engineers through job offers, financial incentives, and professional recruitment networks to extract proprietary knowledge. ASML, whose lithography machines are essential to advanced chip production, confirmed in 2023 that a former employee stole core technology data with direct links to China.
No direct CCP link has been established in Chen's specific case. The motive here appears to have been helping Tokyo Electron win TSMC supplier contracts. But it illustrates exactly the kind of vulnerability that state-sponsored actors exploit: trusted insiders with deep access, minimal surveillance, and data that can fit on a smartphone camera roll.
TSMC produces over 90% of the world's most advanced chips. Every AI system, every next-generation military platform, and every advanced consumer device runs on what comes out of its fabs. Whoever steals this technology does not just gain a product. They gain years of irreplaceable R&D and the ability to reshape the global balance of technological power.
Ten years in prison. Taiwan is done treating this as paperwork.

"Ukraine's General Staff announced on April 24 the dismissal of the commanders of the 10th Corps and 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade over allegations of losing Ukrainian positions, providing inadequate support to frontline troops, and concealing the true situation in their frontline sector.
The announcement comes after the daughter of a former soldier from the 2nd Mechanized Battalion of the 14th Mechanized Brigade, Ivanna Poberezhniuk, posted photos of severely emaciated soldiers, who she said are stationed at their positions in Kharkiv Oblast without food or water due to command negligence.
The soldiers, assigned to the 2nd Battalion of the 30th Mechanized Brigade, were reportedly fainting from hunger and forced to drink rainwater. The command, for its part, did not respond to the situation, according to Poberezhniuk."

🚨PRINCE REZA PAHLAVI JUST WENT FULL NUCLEAR ON THE ENTIRE EU PRESS & PARLIAMENT! 🔥🧨
I want to speak DIRECTLY to the people of Europe. In the past two weeks I held TWO MAJOR press conferences — one in Stockholm, one in Berlin. Over 150 JOURNALISTS showed up. We spent MORE THAN TWO HOURS with them…
And guess what?
NOT ONE SINGLE of those 150 journalists asked about the 40,000 IRANIANS SLAUGHTERED on the streets of my country on January 8th and 9th!
NOT ONE asked about the 19 political prisoners EXECUTED in the last two weeks.
When I told them 20 more are currently sentenced to death — CRICKETS. Not a damn question.
I stood right next to a grieving mother and father who lost their sons in that massacre and begged them to listen to their stories…
NOT A SINGLE ONE of those 150 journalists asked them a thing.
Let that sink in.
My 40,000 BRAVE INNOCENT COMPATRIOTS who were butchered fighting for liberty? They don’t give a damn.
They are too busy criticizing America and Israel for taking out the dictator who’s been slaughtering our people for 47 YEARS — instead of going after the regime that’s actually doing the killing!
They’d rather dig up Iran’s history than talk about what’s happening RIGHT NOW or the free democratic Iran we’re fighting for.
One EU parliament member even had the nerve to say Iranians aren’t ready for democracy. To that coward and to every fake journalist in the room I say this:
Iranians aren’t just “ready” for democracy… 40,000 of them just DIED for it! And I will NOT let their blood be in vain.
SO HEAR ME LOUD AND CLEAR:
Whether Europe stands with us or not…
Whether your journalists do their damn jobs or not…
Whether your politicians grow a spine or not…
I WILL FIGHT FOR MY PEOPLE AND MY COUNTRY.
Even if we have to do this ALONE — we are fighting until IRAN IS FREE! 🇮🇷💪

WOW.
Ukrainian intelligence infiltrated a closed conference at a Russian university in the Kuban region where students were being recruited for the war.
The speaker handed the floor to someone he took to be a Russian soldier. However, it turned out to be a member of the Ukrainian armed forces.
“I am indeed a soldier, but not a Russian, I am a Ukrainian. And I tell you: God forbid you come here, I will have to kill you, every single one of you who signs this contract. Your faces are all copied, just like the rector’s, just like those of the people who just presented this to you, the soldier who told you about it,” the Ukrainian said.
He emphasized that the front line remained unchanged, while “cemeteries the size of two countries” were growing.
