@wwcrowds Police do have a duty to protect life, and if it were evident that event management were failing to act in a life threatening situation they may well intervene. Question is, how do police do that at a large event if they are not part of the show stop protocol?
@wwcrowds I’ve never worked on an event in the UK where police have authority/ability to call show stop - rightly or wrongly, it remains the preserve of event management.

2. Will be the last to reopen
3. Has NO roadmap
4. Is being ignored by government consistently
Abandonment.
Help us draw attention to it? RTs appreciated.
Cheers!

From Guardian 3rd Dec, the terrible story of the Ibrox disaster of 1971. Reminded me of two key points from @GKStill:
1. In crushes, people don't die because they panic; they 'panic' because they're dying
2. Usual cause of disaster is mismanagement
