@JRCranshaw@shakermartin Thanks John, I'm aware of the book but that book refers to the 1925/26 season from my previous tweet to this one. Kasper Schmeichel the subject of this tweet played for us in 2005.
Once a Shaker, always a Shaker!
Congratulations on a fantastic career Kasper Schmeichel.
I was lucky enough to watch him aged 19 in a Bury shirt, you could see then he would have a great career ahead of him.

@paulforrest4 He was! I remember him against Swindon away, we conceded a late own goal to lose & he was yelling, red in the face at seasoned defenders like Challinor & Woodthorpe.
@PFA@buryfcofficial once a Shaker, always a Shaker. Maybe we could post something out celebrating a former player's great career on the day he retires?
@johnwiggans7 I did see the book when I was doing some research about that season yesterday evening. It'll be something I look out for on my next visit to Gigg Lane. ๐โฝ
I don't think enough was made about the fact that this season was the centenary anniversary of our highest ever league finish by the club in the past year.

@ben_brumby "Club will die" is rather over the top, from what I've seen over the last 3 years we are pulling in plenty of new young fans who are falling in love with the club for all the correct reasons.
I do however acknowledge that we need to be proactive as a club.
It will be 10 years since he torn the club apart before he has to face his actions in a court of law.
Hopefully by then we will be further up the football pyramid & have enjoyed many more promotions in non league.

@CliveTyldesley "Well the mighty Shakers still hold the FA cup record for biggest final scoreline & not conceded in the entire competition your highness"
A man who bought unity, passion & professionalism when it was needed the most.
He understood what this club meant to the fans & never took representing the badge lightly.
His period at the club will be forever in the history books, thank you @davidmcnabb82#BuryFC ๐โฝ
