@GlobalPollsX More likely to be a Maronite Christian Lebanese man. Here in Sydney we had a large influx of them in the late 60s and 70s. Later Lebanese immigrants tended to be Muslim. Regardless he's an Aussie and a legend!
@tushar15 Highly improbable. The big clue to me is the gear remaining down. Once positive rate of climb is achieved the PIC will call for gear up. Did the 2IC raise the flaps instead of gear? That’s my guess. Initial rate of climb was perfectly fine.
@ma_karnataka@SidKeVichaar Mentour nailed it for sure. Looks like the FO raised the flaps instead of gear after positive rate of climb was achieved. Most likely scenario.
@gokhankaralar @SidKeVichaar Loss of thrust OR loss of lift. Were the flaps raised instead of the gear? Initial rate of climb was normal.
Another possibility: an uncontained engine failure resulting in shrapnel hitting the elevators.
@KevinBiostar@ShivAroor ullshit. With no flaps the initial climb rate could never have been achieved. The big clue to me is the gear remaining down. Once positive rate of climb is achieved the PIC will call for gear up. Did the 2IC raise the flaps instead of gear? That’s my guess.
@Earth2075@ShivAroor Rubbish. With no flaps the initial climb rate could never have been achieved. The big clue to me is the gear remaining down. Once positive rate of climb is achieved the PIC will call for gear up. Did the 2IC raise the flaps instead of gear? That’s my guess.
@RonUSFF@ShivAroor Bullshit. With no flaps the initial climb rate could never have been achieved. The big clue to me is the gear remaining down. Once positive rate of climb is achieved the PIC will call for gear up. Did the 2IC raise the flaps instead of gear? That’s my guess.

@Williamrno @Mrgunsngear Catastrophic failure of the horizontal stabiliser actuator is my guess. From the videos you can hear the engines screaming and you can see the strobe and wing tip nav lights, so the "4 corners" were intact.
@WilliamAston Correct. Catastrophic failure of flight controls, most likely horizontal stabiliser, elevators or a runaway trim. Lear Jet was fully intact with at least 1 engine running when it impacted.
