I started this to connect with cultures, one dish at a time.
Now the journey is on YouTube, with new 5-minute videos every week!

Hakata Area, Fukuoka
I don't exectly remember the names of the restuarants I visited here. But, the food was amazing.
Tonkotsu Ramen + Gyoza + Seafood Platter + Sashimi. This is the kind of eating where you stop checking the time.
Ichiran Ramen, Fukuoka
Ichiran has the best Tonkotsu in Fukuoka- which is saying something as Fukuoka invented it. One of the best ramen chains on the planet, and they're everywhere in Japan. You cannot leave without trying it.
Now Fukuoka. And this one is personal.
Japanese Mother's Cooking Class, Fukuoka.
I made Okonomiyaki, Tempura, Tori no Teriyaki, Nabe, Tamagoyaki. FIVE dishes, with my own hands, in someone's home kitchen.
Yes, I made them. They still count.
Ginza Kagari, Chuo City.
Tori Paitan Ramen. This has a creamy chicken broth, clean and delicate, nothing like the heavy hit of tonkotsu.
Japan has a ramen for every mood and every meal.
First stop wasn't even Fukuoka. It was Narita Airport.
Tomita, Narita Airport. Yes- it startes before you step out of the airport!
Tsukemen- Thick, chewy noodles served with a rich broth. Dense, intense, almost sauce-like. And this is at an airport.
I've cooked in a lot of kitchens. This 300-year-old Bavarian one tested me differently.
Ep 1 of 50 Kitchens.
Shane McMahon, Asam-Schlössl, and four dishes I won't forget. 🇩🇪🔥
I flew 10,000 miles to Australia… and it completely caught me off guard 🇦🇺
This one turned into way more than just a trip 👀✈️
Rugby madness. Unreal food.
