@x_stbx @BoxingShrew Good work Steve, congrats! Great content too! Itโs well worth looking at tools like @TubeBuddy or similar if youโve not already.
@ElissaNoves Couldnโt have happened to a nicer person. That the trio werenโt booted out of the party speaks volumes. Iโm not a fan of the many of the Labour councillors either but letโs see what they do.
Three Tory councillors in Warwickshire are facing calls to apologise for comments about children with special educational needs.

@ElissaNoves Anyone can attend these committee meetings as well as meetings of full council. You can send questions to the committee and to council members ahead of meetings too. Donโt expect a detailed answer or apology but do use your vote in local and general elections.
@StoppingAbuse1 Signed and shared but donโt get your hopes up, they cannot be sacked for this. They can be kicked out of the party but there is no chance of that.
@RossKerr1991 Agree, itโs a difficult one. Ignoring it allows them to get away with it. Itโs also disheartening to actually witness council meetings where much is discussed but little is done and decisions are often already made.
I am embarrassed to have sat alongside some of the councillors in this video. This is disgusting and saddening. To mock and dismiss real problems that ruin the lives of children and their families is a massive middle finger up to the public they are supposed to serve.
๐งต Clips below:
Cllr Hammersley: "Is it something in the water?"
"Why are there so many people jumping out with these needs? Where were they when I was at school?"
"Why do so many people have this badge of SEND and special needs?"
"To stop this spend fix the problem at source"
@hollymatthews@ElissaNoves@Warwickshire_CC@BBCCWR These councillors all sit on the Children and Young People committee that I used to sit on. They make recommendations to cabinet about decisions that affect the families they are openly mocking and dismissing.
@ElissaNoves@Warwickshire_CC Cllr Golby has done it for years. I get it, people can be vile, especially online. But you stand for public office and the public have every right to comment on your actions and decisions. The council can do little and the party will do nothing.
@bbcmtd Councillors do need protection, especially online. But Cllr Golby gaslights residents & has done for years. Words have consequences & residents have a right to voice their opinions. You stand for election to serve the public, they have a right to comment on your actions.
