I've been thinking about an interactive art programme for Bitcoin! What if we stopped explaining Bitcoin and instead built a space where people could feel what broken money actually does to a body, a community, a life? More details here >> https://t.co/EdDIoGj1Nk
The whole Bitcoin conference/podcasting charade needs to be put to bed.. We need to stop feeding the beast and stop giving attention and buying tickets.
Make Bitcoin boring again so these performative 5 minutes of fame grifters lose their delusions of self-importance. We need to stop giving air to the personalities who refuse to take a stance on BIP110, who refuse to acknowledge why the foundations of the structure their entire personalities are based upon is actively under attack, while they prance about on stage, and on mic, intoducing people who are gaslighting us into believing that fiat capital rails is required to make Bitcoin succeed, and nothing else.
Don't be seduced by the performance, acknowledge that it's just grift. Follow people who actually fundamentally care about bitcoin as a network, as opposed to bitcoin as a brand:

I submitted a proposal to a renowned tech art festival last year, and it got shortlisted. The idea was: stop explaining something. It comes after. Build a space where people feel and embrace it at their own pace. That idea became code: sovereign! I'd love to hear your thoughts.
The ยฃ50k that covered a production in 2019 covers less of one in 2026. It feels so stretched now. The arts sector talks constantly about underfunding. But somehow, the thing built specifically to fix broken money is still the villain in every arts conversation ๐ฅฒWhy? #bitcoin
Let's say Arts Council England gave an artist ยฃ50k in 2019. ACE gives the same artist ยฃ50k in 2026. The artist wonders why it doesn't go as far, and the funder wonders why it doesn't feel like enough. Nobody's wrong.. Nobody's asking the question, but blames the poor economy :(
The artists I worked with are some of the most globally connected people, working really hard. And yet the moment money moves, something takes a cut. Then another and then another. By the end of it, the work that was meant to sustain them does so a little less than it should!
An artist sells a work internationally or gets commissioned. Gallery fees, conversion rates, withholding tax etc etc... They've lost a third before they've spent a penny. We talk a lot about supporting artists, but not about the infrastructure that doesn't support & change :/
Sovereignty can't be granted by an institution, and it's rarely taken by one either. It just quietly erodes. A nudge here, a policy there... Until one day, the question of who controls your money, your data, your time feels almost quaint. #codesovereign#bitcoin#art#experience
Fermentation isn't decay. It's a transformation under pressure. The 2008 crash exposed failing institutions and the collapse of things people thought were permanent. Something else grew from that damage. More like a scar, formed by damage, but immune to the decay that caused it๐
The latest episode of Once Bitten has just dropped.
Another new voice!
And a new ideology/leadership system idea hits the wire!
Move over Democracy, Socialism, Communism, Monarchy, Libertarianism and Anarchy.
This is Valuarchy!
Let the conversations begin!

What would financial freedom actually feel like? Most of us have never had the chance to experience it. And I want to create that space through an interactive exhibition that helps people think about this. Temporary but imaginative and hopeful. #art#experience#bitcoin
So..Worldbuilding isn't about imagining a perfect future. It's temporarily inhabiting a different set of rules in the present, and noticing what changes. That's how I see this exhibition. No explaining needed! Making people live inside one, briefly, and see what it does to them.
I first came to Bitcoin as a curator, and what I found then wasn't a financial system! It was a culture with its own myths, rituals, symbols... That culture deserves attention and a safe space for discussion. Looking for artists, researchers, economists and of course Bitcoiners!
Bitcoin turns 20 in 2028, and I'm thinking of an interactive exhibition, worldbuilding as a methodology. For people who've never touched Bitcoin but feel the broken system every day... Still very early stage, but I'll drop some ideas here ๐ #art#exhibition#bitcoin
