@Cernovich Why do you care some much for tech billionaires who cares. The right should just stop licking their boots and giving them tax cuts for nothing in return . I never seen such a one side relationship. A bunch of simps cutting regulations and taxes while receiving nothing in return.
@CollNamor@ChristianHeiens Sure this one is a lot more tricky than the other ones you have tried to fear monger about. But if you guys keep crying wolf because employees get mandatory 7 day pay vacation or something similar no one will take you seriously.
@MidasMulligan10@ChristianHeiens We can apply that logic to anything. You know how much more people my employer can make if they stopped paying me 150k and paid me 25k? Sure lower wages will increase employment but obviously the discussion is about thresholds that actually benefits society.
@MidasMulligan10@ChristianHeiens Sure I was exaggerating. If i remember correctly I got bump to 8 dollars my second year and 8.50 my fourth year. And they told me that I should be grateful for it haha.
@MidasMulligan10@ChristianHeiens Sure like I said there is trade offs am pretty sure that there is some McDonald’s franchise owner that stop opening his 6 store because he had to pay his employees more. By the way what happened to that 20 dollar big Mac? I was told that was going to definitely happened
@MidasMulligan10@ChristianHeiens When I was in college I work for 4 years for minimum wage in NYC without any increase so no there is no organic wage growth at that level if there is it is nickel’s and dimes. Real wage growth tend to be at a higher level.
@MidasMulligan10@ChristianHeiens But they haven’t. Unemployment in NYC has remained stable for 10 years , so has low skill jobs. What has happened is that they have gotten richer. That is the only reality.
@MidasMulligan10@ChristianHeiens Growth rate as in wage growth or people being employed. If is wage growth who cares. If minimum wage would of remained at 7.25 at most the wage growth would of reach 10 after years. The baseline is way higher at 15 and also increases the baseline of people who weren’t making MW.
@MidasMulligan10@ChristianHeiens Economic right winger should just be honest and say they don’t want middle or upper middle class people to take any sort of economic hit regardless who it helps. At least we can discuss this instead of lying about economic collapse.
@MidasMulligan10@ChristianHeiens The minimum used to be 7.25 and it jump to 17 dollars of course it remove 100s of thousands out poverty. Poverty is less than 17k per individual. So make that argument say that business owners aren’t as rich as people think and that the trade off is not worth it. Instead of lying
@MidasMulligan10@ChristianHeiens But that trade off argument you guys didn’t make because you know you will lose making that argument . So you guys invited some disaster scenario that was going to leave a bunch of people unemployed.
@MidasMulligan10@ChristianHeiens It took hundreds of of thousands of people out of poverty and gave them a bigger purchasing power so no it didn’t effect the economy as a whole. It did increase cost in some businesses but that was the trade off. Some people get a little less rich while others do way better.
@MidasMulligan10@ChristianHeiens Am sure they were some exceptions, but i remember very well that it was very big chunk of economic right wingers making this claims. Not only ConInc.
