When a student loan is canceled, Treasury stops collecting principal & interest on it. That’s it. Nothing else happens and it has no discernible effect on anyone other than the borrower having more money to spend, save or invest. NO ONE ELSE PAYS FOR IT. Not you. Not me. NO ONE.

Today during yoga, the instructor spoke about trees becoming their strongest in autumn. Because they aren’t bearing fruit or producing leaves, all of their energy is pushed down into the roots. So what externally appears as death, is actually the catalyst for new life.
Guilt: I fucked up.
Shame: I’m fucked up.
Reassurance: We all fuck up sometimes.
Reframe: Fuckups are an opportunity to improve.
Dialectic: I fucked up and I’m still learning.
Empowerment: When I fuck up there’s ways I can respond.
Accountability: I’m sorting out my fuckup.
