#PSA: Dear White people, Please, PLEASE for the love of God and peace.... STOP harassing People of Color. It never ends well. Be open minded, friendly, and stop assuming the negative. Everyone wants to be respected and given the benefit of the doubt.
Happy 4 of July: Let’s make people angry! A powerful Black woman, the first Black woman elected as San Francisco District Attorney, the first woman, and the first Black person to serve as California Attorney General. She was also the second Black woman ever elected to the U.S. Senate and the first woman to serve as acting President of the United States when presidential powers were temporarily transferred to her during President Joe Biden’s medical procedure on November 19, 2021. Additionally, she was the first Black woman nominated for president by a major U.S. political party when she became the Democratic nominee in 2024! Her name is Kamala Harris!!!

To all those who are bone tired, struggling, or quietly wondering if you are enough:
You are probably giving yourself far less credit than you deserve. You may not see it, but your presence matters. Your efforts matter. The kindness you show, the burdens you carry, the way you keep showing up and doing your best each day has an impact on more people than you know.
And to everyone else, never underestimate the power of reminding someone that they are seen, appreciated, and loved. A few sincere words can lighten a burden, restore hope, and change the course of a day.
We all need that reminder sometimes.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the extraordinary outbursts of the President of the United States against female journalists... well, actually against journalists in general and journalism. But it feels like he saves his most childlike behavior and irrational language for female reporters, calling them all kinds of names that kids in kindergarten are given times out for. It’s stunning to me to witness such behavior from any leader, any CEO, any person of influence or importance. I’ve never witnessed someone like this raging, this weekend with @meetthepress host @kwelkernbc, just last week in the Oval Office with @cnn’s @kaitlancollins, calling women stupid or piggy, telling them to “smile”, calling them darling, demeaning their credibility. Every good man should denounce this behavior. Every person should be able to stand up for their colleagues and say “No more.”
Imagine this man screaming like this at your daughter, your wife, your sister, your mother... would you stand for it? No, you wouldn’t! And neither should any of us. It’s unacceptable and undignified. Period. End of story.

“The chilling truth is that his story could’ve been mine. The tragedy is that my story could’ve been his”- @govwesmoore
Maryland’s Governor Wes Moore’s introduction to service was writing a New York Times Bestselling book called “The Other Wes Moore”. As the governor was off to be a Rhodes Scholar the other Wes Moore was being sentence to life in prison. It was a parallel universe. Same name, same place, but different path. Shows how fragile life is.
