So sooo proud of ma boi Hudson-Odoi yesterday. Watched him grow from watching him score in the FA Youth Cup final in 2017 to getting the first team in 2018 to getting his England senior call up. The next picture will be in 5 years when he’s tearing up the PL week in week out 💪🏻
Mereka kebal
I’ll tell you something for free.
At the highest level of football, there are certain things you cannot fluke.
Glasner won the Europa League with Frankfurt, this was a time big teams use to drop from UCL into Europa, so he had to face teams like Barcelona on the way. Still, he won the Europa.
He came to Palace, with a small budget compared to the other English teams, he won the FA Cup, the first trophy in Palace’s history, he beat Man City to win it. You can’t fluke that, he’s a winner.
He qualified them to Europa by winning the FA Cup , but they dropped to Conference league because of the multi-club ownership saga with Textor. Despite the setback, he has just won an European trophy for a South London club.
In 2 years, he has changed a club’s history and won 3 trophies for them if we add the community shield. He did this while losing big players, lost his captain January, lost his best player to Arsenal in summer, lost Olise.
This guy is a winner.
That does not look shoulder to shoulder to me. It looks more like Khusanov catches him with the legs rather than making proper body contact.
Before the shoulder met, Khusanov steps across Pedro, doesn't touch the ball, how is that allowed?
Interesting findings.

Another example is Monchi and Unai Emery.
Monchi hired Unai Emery at Sevilla, and they were very successful together. They enjoyed a lot of success. Unai left, and Monchi later left to join Roma, where he did poorly. He returned to Sevilla under Lopetegui and didn't impress.
Unai brought him to Aston Villa because he understands him perfectly. The possibility of them failing together is slim. They know each other's game. It's an underrated solution in football.
If Manchester United had made efforts to take Hugo Viana and Ruben Amorim together, I don't think Amorim would have failed. A technical director who understands how to build a team for a coach is priceless.
It's not easy to pull two together from a club. They will never allow it. If you plan to take them differently, it will likely work.
All these are happening because of a disagreement with Maresca. 🤔
We should have listened to the man. I kept saying that we were underrating his work and that another manager might struggle badly.
It's happening now. This is a lesson to all of us.
✍️ Strasbourg's project excites me a lot. Even more than Chelsea’s project. It's easier to develop players at a mid-table club than at a top club.
The talent in that team is crazy. They talk about Chelsea taking their players, but they are not a club that can keep players away from big teams. If Chelsea don't take them, other big teams will. Once they produce a good talent, bigger clubs will circle.
How many years was Simakan when they sold him to RB Leipzig before BlueCo takeover?
I think the main thing is for them to keep getting top replacements. They are like Brighton, they bring in top potentials but not big enough to keep them long-term. To do that, they will need to pay big wages which is impossible for a club of their size yet.
In terms of talent, they're impressive. Yassine, Mourabet, Doue, Nanasi etc. I mean, 70-80% of that squad are international players. It's not something they are used to.
And the succession plan has been well planned. Panichelli is replacing Emegha and Oyedeji looks like he will replace Barco pretty much. And they will bring in more players to improve the squad again.
I think they are set to become competitive long term, they have a structure to support it. They are getting enough financial support from BlueCo. They are not being fed with crumbs.
The only thing they can complain about is their culture being trampled on by BlueCo, but a dying club don't care about all that. Bordeaux will want to be a sister club now just to stabilise again. I keep telling their fans, they are here because their club wasn't doing great financially and was running out of time. No foreign owner will care more about culture than making profit. But at least, on the pitch, they are doing well, better than most teams in a multi-club model in Ligue 1. They will only get better from here. I think they should look at the brighter side. They have a solid project going on there. I love watching them play football.
