@jamiedupree Congress holds the sole power to declare war.
Don’t you think it’s somewhat important to be in session now—while America is fighting an illegal war and Americans are dying?
Exactly how many days have you worked this year?
Do you think you could return to DO YOUR JOB soon?
Congress buried something in the must-pass defense bill being voted on tomorrow.
The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) funds the entire U.S. military and has passed every year for 63 consecutive years, which is exactly why some representatives try to use it for legislation that couldn't survive a standalone vote.
Section 224 of the 2027 NDAA would formally merge U.S. and Israeli military technology, weapons development, AI, and defense supply chains into a single cooperative framework.
This isn't a treaty and has not had any public debate and minimal media coverage. It is tucked into 1,000 pages of legislation Congress has to pass to keep the military funded.
Since 1948, the U.S. has given Israel over $200 billion in inflation-adjusted military assistance. Section 224 doesn't appropriate more money. It does something more permanent and more insidious: it enshrines the relationship into federal law, shielding it from future annual appropriations processes.
Next year, when someone tries to cut military aid to a country facing genocide charges at the International Court of Justice, even if they are found guilty, the answer will be: we can't. It's built into the supply chain.
A May 2026 Institute for Global Affairs poll found only 16% of Americans support continuing weapons transfers to Israel without new restrictions. Congress is about to vote for something 84% of the country opposes.
Veterans are already speaking out. Military families are already speaking out. And Congress needs to know we are not ok with this.
Call your representative today. Tomorrow may be too late.
James Carville on Bill Pulte: “He’s got one job: do everything he can to fuck with the election on behalf of Trump. If you were a traitor president, you would put an idiot [as DNI]. This is what you would do if you were trying to destroy the country. I think Trump hates the US”
In America today, we rank 34th out of 35 countries in childhood poverty and millions of children are food insecure.
Maybe, just maybe, my Republican colleagues would consider holding a single hearing about how we improve the lives of American kids.
When he’s gone and this is all over, I don’t want to hear a single journalist talk about how terrible he was when they spent the entire fucking time normalizing everything he did
🚨 BOMBSHELL! Nominee Josh Turek exposes how Trump-backed Ashley Hinson voted to strip healthcare from 110,000 Iowans while getting 10 times wealthier in Congress.
She actively blocked a ban on stock trading for politicians. Washington is completely bought by the elite!

Pay attention.
Late last night the Trump-packed Supreme Court issued an UNSIGNED order to help Republicans erase Black voters and keep a congressional seat.
The Court's legitimacy is earned and they are burning it to the ground.
MAGA is rigging our democracy in real time!
BESSENT: I believe the president's remarks were taken out of context
HASSAN: No. He said, 'I don't think about Americans' financial situation. I don't think about anybody.' That's a direct quote
BESSENT: Groceries are going down
HASSAN: When was the last time you were in a grocery store?
Ken Paxton was indicted for scamming his own friends.
He convinced them to invest hundreds of thousands in a company while secretly pocketing a commission.
Paxton sold out his own friends for a quick buck. What makes you think he won't sell you out in the Senate?
Sen. Hassan: "Mr. Secretary, how does the president's requested billion-dollar ballroom or all of these other vanity products lower costs for American families or help constrain spending?"
Bessent: "…It is a national security matter."
Sen. Hassan: "That's ridiculous, and I think you know it."
Rep. Jacobs to Rubio: "It seems like you have an issue admitting facts. You can't say that the president lost the 2020 election…You won't admit that President Trump is losing this reckless war of choice…You couldn't admit that the shoes the president bought you were too big."
Israel has used American-supplied munitions to kill tens of thousands of innocent civilians.
America is morally obligated to end support of Israel’s devastation of Gaza and its people. I’m cosponsoring the Block the Bombs Act to limit the transfer of offensive weapons to Israel.
Congress named the Kennedy Center & Congress is the only one who can change that
Trump can’t just rewrite the law & the court just proved it
The name is coming off

Wait a minute — Iran (who Trump said has no military) bombed the shit out of Kuwait last night in retaliation for us striking them in a war Marco Rubio just yesterday, told Congress was “over”?
Do they think we’re all fucking stupid?
